Oceans of Ice: biodiversity in the marine antarctic (2010)
A presentation of the Census of Antarctic Marine Life (CAML).
It covers the Antarctic marine science and discoveries of CAML, a part of the global Census of Marine Life (CoML) during the International Polar Year (IPY) 2007-2008/9
The movie was shown at the Royal Society in London, October, 2010 as part of the gala finale of the IPY.
It was designed as a slow-paced ‘kiosk’ movie in order to effectively communicate the density of information required for a critical scientific audience, as well as some reflection upon the beauty of the material revealed by CAML scientists.
