Conversations about Paintings

My father is a painter – a landscape painter – and he has done this for most of his life (and all my life) – and, naturally, he’s had a strong impact upon the way I think about things visually. We’ve had many interesting discussions over many decades.

Anyway, over the last few years (and many into the future, I trust), as time marches on, we’ve had a few discussions about his work: what inspired and motivated him, and what he’s tried to do – stuff I wanted to put on the record. And so here it is.

I’ll update this post over time.
