Stereoscopic High Definition Imaging

This is an example of full surround stereoscopic panoramic imaging projected on the AVIE system, developed by the iCinema Centre at UNSW.

Naturally, you will not be able to see the stereoscopic effect here - it requires special glasses and projection screens.

I created a series of stereoscopic (3d) fully immersive cylindrical panoramas at Cape Denison, Antarctica - in and around Mawson's Huts in 2008

Working with the programmer Jared Berghold, we projected the panoramas using the AVIE (Advanced Visualisation and Interaction Environment.)

It was shown for the Mawson's Huts Foundation 2008 Seminar.

Thanks to Jared, Paul Bourke & iCinema for their assistance. I am especially grateful to Professor Jeffrey Shaw for granting me access to this unique (and very busy) visualisation environment. Supported by the Australian Antarctic Division and the Mawson's Huts Foundation.
